After the home defeat against Romeo Sorrento (3-2 in favor of the Campanian side), Emma Villas Codyeco Lupi Siena begins their week of preparations for the away match against Taranto on Sunday, November 30th. The team meets today for a double training session, both in the gym and on the pitch for a technical session led by coach Francesco Petrella.
The Tuscan club’s general manager, Fabio Mechini, spoke about the recent match and upcoming fixtures.
“We had a great approach to the match. A very good first set where we were comfortable on the court in the early part of the match. We knew the opposing team had good technical skills, they showed them and improved, unlike us, who instead dropped in some fundamentals, especially after the third set where they definitely came out better than us and the fourth set where we weren’t as good as at the beginning of the match in keeping control of the match itself. We need to be good at managing certain advantages, especially the fourth set where we were up 21-17, that way we lost our bearings a bit.”
