The Palazzetto dello Sport in Cisterna di Latina will be the prestigious setting for the Qualifying Tournament for the European Under-22 Men’s Volleyball Championship, scheduled for 11 to 13 July 2025. The organization of the tournament is entrusted to the FIPAV Lazio Regional Committee and Cisterna Volley, in collaboration with FIPAV, representing an important international showcase for the youth volleyball movement, and confirms the centrality of the Pontine city in the national sports scene.
Four national teams will compete in Pool A: Italy, Ukraine, Denmark and England, protagonists of a three-day high-intensity event, with access to the final phase of the European Championship of the category at stake. Only the first-placed team and the two best second-placed teams of the various groups, based on the results and overall score, will get the pass to the continental event.
The tournament will open on Friday 11 July with two matches: at 17:00 the inaugural challenge Ukraine-Denmark, followed at 20:30 by the eagerly awaited debut of the Italian national team against England. It will be repeated on Saturday 12 July, again with two matches: Denmark-England at 17:00, and at 20:30 the big match Italy-Ukraine. The event will close on Sunday 13 July, with England-Ukraine at 17:00 and, in the evening at 20:30, the last match Italy-Denmark.
