Joy Volley is pleased to announce the signing of the Italian-Romanian middle blocker Cristian Frumuselu, a new reinforcement at the center of the net for the 2025/2026 season. Born in 1997, Frumuselu is a true giant of volleyball: 207 centimeters tall and an imposing presence that last season left his mark in Serie A2 with the Aversa jersey.
With 63 block points scored between the regular season, playoffs and Coppa Italia, Frumuselu has confirmed himself as one of the best interpreters of the role, thanks to his timing, reading of the game and ability to impact the decisive phases of the matches.
The middle blocker has already worn several prestigious jerseys on the national scene, building a solid growth path that now brings him to Gioia del Colle to embrace the red and white project.
His first words as a Joy Volley player convey enthusiasm and motivation: «The President’s call made me proud, I know the importance of volleyball in Gioia. It will be exciting to fight for these colors and for our fans, I am sure that the public will be our extra weapon. The choice of Gioia was simple, also because I find mister Passaro on the bench, with whom I have already worked: he cares a lot about attention to detail. With my teammates we will work to be protagonists in this championship”.
With the arrival of Frumuselu, Joy Volley raises the bar even further in view of the next season, adding an athlete of international caliber to its roster.
