A last-minute transfer coup. And one destined to enhance the Belluno Volley roster. The white-and-blue club announces the signing of Nicolò Hoffer, a highly skilled libero making his Serie A3 debut. His debut? Yes, but only because he has always played in Serie A2 and Superlega. Born in Soave on May 6, 2000, he began his career in the youth sector of Volley Segrate, before making his top-flight debut in the 2018-2019 season with Milan, under coach Andrea Giani.
SUPERLEGE AND ITALIAN CUP – In 2020, he moved up to Serie A2 with Taranto, followed by a stint at Lagonegro, also in the second national division. Then, over the next two seasons, Hoffer competed against the elite of Italian volleyball, playing for Piacenza in the Superleague. He shared the libero role with Leonardo Scanferla for the red and white team and rubbed shoulders with star players such as Robertlandy Simon, Yoandy Leal, Yuri Romanò, and Antoine Brizard. Last year, however, he was a key player in Serie A2, playing for Brescia, where he lifted the Coppa Italia: a trophy that testified to his value, his temperament, and his ability to make an impact at key moments of the season. “I chose Belluno,” he explains, “for the importance and foresight of the project, the club’s strong interest in having me on board, and the competitiveness of the roster.”
