The first week of preseason training concluded today for the Italian champion Itas Trentino men’s team with the arrival of Jordi Ramon. The Spanish spiker, returning from a week’s rest after finishing the summer with his national team, arrived in Trento on Thursday evening.
“It’s a great satisfaction to be in Trento and finally wear the Trentino Volley jersey,” said Jordi Ramon, who, unlike his teammates, worked primarily in the weight room. “I’ve often played here as an opponent in the past, but from now on I’ll proudly wear the Scudetto on my chest. It’s an honor. I’m really eager to work, I’m already in pretty good shape because I played for the Spanish national team until a few days ago, but I’m happy to be able to complete the entire preparation with the coaching staff. The goal is to be at my best for the first official matches and improve both technically and physically. Théo Faure? He’s a good friend; we spent the last two seasons together in Cisterna di Latina, and now we’re ready to experience this together. We’ve already spoken often this summer, but I think I’ll be calling him a lot in the interim period before he arrives in Trento.”
