This morning at the pool at the David Lloyd Club in Modena, where Modena Volley is currently preparing and where Paul Buchegger has joined the team, libero Filippo Federici shared his first impressions of the past few days.
“Today we had a session in the pool,” he said. “Everything is going well, and we’re working hard to prepare for the season. This is a time of physical exertion and teamwork, things we’ll carry with us throughout the year. I’m happy to still be in Modena; I think I can grow even further here. I’ll have a different role than last year, and I’m taking that as motivation to continue to improve. There will be many aspects to evaluate during the season; it’s not up to me to decide who plays in my position; I’ll give it my all. Making predictions about the championship is difficult; we’ve just started training with our new teammates, so we’ll see how it goes. Since Perry and I are both already here, we’re already working hard on reception, a key aspect of our game.”
