Puglia – and in particular the splendid setting of Monopoli and the surrounding municipalities – will host the 40th edition of the Men’s Volleyball Regions Trophy, the highest national expression of youth volleyball dedicated to regional selections.
A competition with special value, both for young athletes and for coaches. Because wearing the jersey of your region or guiding its best talents is an honor reserved for few, the culmination of a journey made of commitment, dedication and passion. A goal that repays months – and sometimes years – of selections, sacrifices, training and shared dreams.
Leading the Marche team this year will also be a top-level technical team: Romano Giannini, confirmed as head coach for the eighth consecutive edition, and, among others, Dylan Leoni, in the role of assistant coach. Two solid figures, with long experience on the field, a deep knowledge of the territory and a technical vision capable of making the most of the potential of the boys.
Since September, Giannini – together with his staff – has started a long and careful observation process that has involved over sixty athletes from the 2009, 2010 and 2011 vintages. A challenge within a challenge, culminating with the selection of the “magic 14” who will represent the Marche region in the competition.
