Penultimate day of Play Off 5th Place for a place in the Cev Challenge Cup and games still to be played in this tail end of the Super League. The last round has in fact seen the standings shorten even more, with only Modena at full points (9 points) now safe, followed by Verona at 6, then a group of four teams, all with only one 3-point victory, led by Allianz Milano, by virtue of the set difference, then Cisterna Volley, Padova and Grottazzolina. Only four teams will play the semifinals, so for coach Roberto Piazza’s team it is forbidden to make mistakes in the last two outings, starting with the tricky away match tomorrow night at PalaSavelli in Porto San Giorgio (Fermo) against a Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina in form, capable of knocking out Rana Verona 3-1 last Saturday. In the last round, Allianz will play (Sunday 27 April at 17.30) at home against Cisterna Volley, another direct competitor to enter the top four.
