It’s Coppa Italia time. Emma Villas Siena will be busy on Thursday 1st May in the away match in Prata di Pordenone for a match valid for the quarter-finals of the competition. It will be a one-off match, which will start at 5:30 pm, the winner will qualify for the semi-finals. The team trained by coach Gianluca Graziosi will face the team that finished the regular season in first place, but was then eliminated in the playoff semi-finals by Cuneo.

The winner of the match between Prata di Pordenone and Siena will challenge the winner of the quarter-final match between Aversa and Macerata. The scoreboard then includes the matches between Brescia and Catania and between Cuneo and Fano.

The semi-finals will be played on Sunday 4th May: these two matches will also be a single match, which will be played at the home of the team that ranked best at the end of the regular season in the championship.

“It will be a difficult challenge against a very strong team – says opposite hitter Gabriele Nelli of Emma Villas Siena. – We are bitter and disappointed about how things went in the playoff semifinal. We wanted to go to the final, we didn’t succeed. Now we can try to aim high in this other competition which is certainly important. They came first in the regular season, they achieved it. The season is not over, there are still two cups to try to win. We will have to show our potential on the court”.
