After a debut season of great impact in SuperLega Credem Banca, Yuga Tarumi will continue to wear the Cisterna Volley jersey also for the next championship. The Japanese spiker completes a spiker department that will also feature the confirmed Efe Bayram, together with the new additions Filippo Lanza and Daniel Muniz.
During the 2024/2025 season, Tarumi took to the field on eleven occasions, winning the MVP title of the match three times and finishing as the seventh scorer of the team with 50 total points, proving decisive when called on the field.
With his arrival, Tarumi became the first – and so far only – Japanese athlete to wear the colors of Cisterna Volley, after having distinguished himself at the top of the top Japanese series with the Panasonic Panthers. With the prestigious Japanese club, after finishing the Superleague season with Cisterna Volley, he also participated in the AVC Men’s Champions League, finishing in second place behind Al-Rayyan Sports Club, in the final played in Kyoto on May 18.
«I am really happy with what I have done in this first year in the Superleague with Cisterna Volley – the analysis of the 2000-born spiker – It was my first experience in a championship abroad and, naturally, I had many uncertainties and worries. However, thanks to the precious support of my extraordinary teammates, I was able to experience a truly significant season.
