What on paper was the most lopsided match of the quarterfinals, between the winter champions and the eighth-placed team at the halfway point, ended without any surprises. Itas Trentino, the winter champions, advanced to the next round with a comfortable 3-0 victory at the BTS Arena. After having decisively defeated Vero Volley Monza at the OpiquadArena during the Regular Season on Boxing Day, they repeated their feat in the first round of the Del Monte® Coppa Italia SuperLega at home.
The Dolomites closed the gap with top scorer Michieletto’s 15 points. Faure (10) and Flavio (10) also played a decisive role, while among the visitors, only Rohrs (11) reached double figures. The yellow-blues’ 56% attack rate, eight team aces, and seven blocks closed out a match they led from the start, with only one balanced moment in the first half of the third and final set.
Marcelo Mendez’s team is therefore the first to secure a spot in the Final Four, scheduled for February 7 and 8, 2026, at the Unipol Arena in Bologna.
