Verona Volley is happy to announce the addition of Fabrizio Gironi, opposite hitter born in 2000, who will wear the Verona jersey in the SuperLega next season.
Despite his young age, Gironi already boasts several seasons in the top division, also earning a call to the senior national team. After two years in Milan, in 2020/2021 he won promotion to the SuperLega as a protagonist with the Taranto jersey, remaining also in the following season. Subsequently, the opposite hitter from Brianza landed in Piacenza, where he remained until 2024 and won an Italian Cup, before returning to the city of Taranto. Wearing the blue jersey, he won the bronze medal at the 2022 Mediterranean Games. So far, he has totaled 159 appearances in the SuperLega with 627 points, including 64 blocks and 49 aces.
With the addition of Gironi, Rana Verona adds a valuable element to its offensive department, ready to make himself available to the team with enthusiasm.
