Forty-two years old and still going strong. Kicking off his athletic training with extraordinary energy and in tip-top shape, perfectly at home in the Cucine Lube Civitanova team of young talents, setter Santiago Orduna is sounding the charge. The veteran of the Credem Banca SuperLega is ready for another year to remember. His first words after the resumption of activities reflect the energy and wisdom of an athlete who, along with Marko Podrascanin, has played a significant role in the team’s mentality and growth.
Santiago Orduna (setter, Cucine Lube Civitanova):
“I’m approaching the first phase of athletic preparation with a very positive attitude, full of energy, and a great desire to reunite with all the guys and return to our home. After a couple of months of vacation, we needed to get back to the gym right away, so my enthusiasm is remarkable, just like that of my teammates and the Predators’ desire to return to the gym will be.
My mentality and desire to start over always lead me to work this way, putting myself at the service of the team. After winning the Coppa Italia and reaching the finals last season, we changed little in the summer transfer window.
