After four consecutive wins in Week 3 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, Italy qualified for the VNL Finals, thanks to their second-place finish. Cuba, however, finished seventh.

The match between the Italian and Cuban teams will open the VNL Quarterfinals: Brazil and China will face each other tomorrow afternoon, while on Thursday, France will face Slovenia and Japan will face Poland.
Whoever advances between Italy and Cuba will face the winner of the France-Slovenia match in the semifinals, scheduled for 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 2nd.
