The bell has rung again at the PalaGrotta. The Yuasa Battery training camp officially marks the start of their second season in the SuperLega. It was an intense, heartfelt first day, eagerly awaited by an entire community that has learned to dream big. The small town of 3,200 souls returns to challenge the mighty powers of the best volleyball league in the world, with a clear goal: to secure relegation once again. This feat no longer feels like a fairytale, but rather a testament to its success. A year ago, Grottazzolina was a surprise; today, it is a solid reality, having grown with passion, sacrifice, and forward-thinking planning. This is also reflected in the numbers of the youth sector, which boasts over 300 athletes. The training camp saw the debut of five of the seven new faces at the PalaGrotta: the fans enthusiastically welcomed newcomers Falaschi, Magalini, Stankovic, Pellacani, and Koprivica, while Petkov (on international duty) and Golzadeh will have to wait a few more days.
President Rossano Romiti addressed the team: “Grottazzolina has a great passion for volleyball, with 55 years of history. This team represents not only Grottazzolina, but a great region. The M&G universe includes 300 young players, and you are a role model for them. The club’s goal is to fill the PalaSavelli stadium. This is our second year in the Super League, and we want to stay there.”
