No time to catch your breath, and it’s time to get back on the road: having just recovered from their defeat against a powerful Verona, Yuasa Battery is preparing for their second consecutive midweek match (following Monday’s derby opener) in an already crowded and controversial schedule, which certainly doesn’t do justice to the most important men’s volleyball championship in the world. So, Wednesday, October 29th, with kick-off set for 8:30 PM, Cisterna di Latina will be the next stop for coach Ortenzi’s team. And after Lube and Verona, a truly impossible start for Grottazzolina, here’s their first chance to move up the standings, against a team built similarly to Yuasa, at least numerically, having renewed seven fourteenths of their roster.

Leading the Pontine team, also seeking their first points in the standings after the resounding defeats against Trento and Cuneo, is Daniele Morato, a SuperLega debutant and the youngest coach ever this year. Seven confirmed players and seven new signings, just like Grottazzolina, form a young squad that will also be able to count on experienced players. At the helm are the confirmed Fanizza and Salsi, from Piacenza, in his first season at Cisterna.
