Leading 1-0 in the first round of the Credem Banca Scudetto Playoffs, Cucine Lube Civitanova is training meticulously in the gym ahead of Game 2 of the Quarterfinals. On Sunday, March 15th, at 6:00 PM, the red and whites will take to the court against Itas Trentino at the Eurosuole Forum for the second leg of a best-of-five series. Bulgarian spiker Alex Nikolov, MVP and top scorer in Game 1 with 26 points, demonstrates contagious enthusiasm and is raring to go in front of the Dolomites, supported by the Predators in the stands.
Alex Nikolov (Cucine Lube Civitanova spiker):
“Winning the first match against Itas was a real boost. It gave us a great boost to conquer a stronghold like the BTS Arena, a venue where I’d only won once before. Even then, the home team wasn’t at full strength. We played as a team, following coach Giampaolo Medei’s instructions. I’m confident that Lube will play great volleyball at the Palas as well, and on our end of the court, we’ll do everything we need to take a 2-0 lead in the series. Our fans will be a key contributor; seeing the Eurosuole Forum cheering for the big matches is thrilling. We players can’t wait to admire the new Lube nel Cuore choreography because every year their creativity surpasses itself and the graphics are beautiful!”
