Last season, he was among the best liberos in the division, and with his defense and receptions, he led Prata to promotion to the Superleague. Now, Alberto Benedicenti begins a new experience with Essence Hotels.
Born in Turin in 2001, the new libero from Virtus makes no secret of his enthusiasm and eagerness to get started with his new team: “Fano has historically been a leading volleyball club,” says the new libero. “They have an ambitious project and can boast a great coach on the bench. The roster is competitive, and all the ingredients are there to have a great season.”
Aside from Prata, Alberto Benedicenti also enjoyed important years at Ortona, where in 2022-23 he secured promotion from Serie A3 to Serie A2, at the expense of Fano.
He also previously held stints at Portomaggiore and Perugia in Serie A1.
