Domotek Volley continues to build a top-notch roster and secures its second summer transfer. Following the arrival of center Riccardo Iervolino, the Amaranto club has announced another crucial signing: middle blocker Daniele Buzzi.
This important, significant signing brings to the Strait of Messina an athlete with a solid resume, plenty of room for growth, and a desire to excel. Buzzi, born in 2000, is originally from Genoa, where he began his volleyball career in the youth teams of Colombo Genova before moving to Albisola in Serie B. His talent then propelled him to Serie A2 in the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 seasons with Synergy Mondovì, where he shared a locker room with current Amaranto player Luca Presta. Domotek has sought to re-establish this partnership with Presta to strengthen its middle blockers. Coming off three excellent seasons in Serie A3 with Avimecc Modica, Buzzi is a complete center: a strong attacker and a solid blocker, with great tactical intelligence and a physicality that make him invaluable in developing fast-paced play. All this has earned him a prestigious fourth-place finish in the center-back statistics rankings.
