Domenico Pace, the libero for Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza, born in 2000 and standing 180 centimeters tall, will wear the red and white jersey for the next three seasons, until 2029.
The extension of the player’s contract with Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza was signed in recent days, to the satisfaction of both parties. In the recently concluded season, Domenico Pace made 44 appearances, playing 141 sets, between the Regular Season, Italian Cup, Scudetto Playoffs, and CEV Cup.
Born in Castellana Grotte in 2000, he has also won a Serie A2 championship with his hometown team, is a World Champion with the Italian national team, and is among the players called up by coach Ferdinando De Giorgi to the first training camp currently underway in Rome ahead of the upcoming Italian matches. With Trento, he won a Scudetto and a Champions League, and in his first year at Piacenza, he won the CEV Volleyball Cup.
Pace played ten seasons in Serie A: six in the SuperLega, two in Serie A2, and two in Serie A3. Between 2017 and 2019, at a very young age, he played in the most beautiful tournament in the world with Castellana Grotte, making 26 appearances.
Domenico Pace: “I’m truly happy to have extended my contract and to be able to fight again for Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza. When you feel good in a place, with the team, and with everything that surrounds it, from the staff to the club and the environment, it’s hard to believe that I made the wrong choice in coming to Piacenza a year ago. In fact, it’s exactly the opposite, and for this reason, I feel proud and deeply grateful for the trust placed in me by extending my contract. I will, as always, do my best to repay that trust.”
Ninni De Nicolo (Sporting Director, Gas Sales, Bluenergy Volley Piacenza): “Domenico Pace’s contract extension represents our desire to ensure continuity and stability in the path he embarked on this season, leveraging the experience he has gained and the contribution he has already made in his first season at Piacenza. We are working with the club to build a solid base of Italian and international players, including Domenico Pace himself, with the goal of providing continuity for the season just concluded.”
