Domotek Volley flies to the Serie A2 final. After a convincing victory against a great opponent, General Manager Marco Tullio Martino comments on the match and looks to the future, without hiding his disappointment over the PalaCalafiore being unavailable for the final match.
“Against Acqui? It was the match everyone expected, everyone wanted,” Martino begins. “There was a wonderful crowd despite it being May Day. The volleyball workers, the Amaranth workers, once again proved to be fantastic. Today we saw all our players on the court; it was truly wonderful against a great opponent who beat Domotek last year.”

The General Manager praises his players: “And all this thanks to the boys, eh? I truly embraced them one by one, and I thank them symbolically again, one by one, because they gave us another great evening of entertainment and sport, with a victory I believe was deserved, a very convincing one, also in terms of performance. We are truly happy to have reached this final together with our fans, together with our people. It was truly emotional.”

Now comes Belluno Volley. “I expect a very hard-fought series,” Martino admits. “We already got to know Belluno in the semifinals of the Coppa Italia Del Monte. We know they have a competitive, very well-equipped roster. But I’m sure these guys won’t settle for less and will do everything to bring home this final, which we can truly dedicate to our fans, to our city.”

And on the atmosphere around the team: “Today we hosted an international company, Named Sport, who was able to truly see with their own eyes the enthusiasm, affection, and joy that the fans of this wonderful city have. Thank you once again to all our fans and to these guys who deserve to experience such an important stage as a national final. The whole city is truly dreaming now.”

The thorniest issue remains the unavailability of the PalaCalafiore for Game 1, which will be played Wednesday evening at 8:30 pm at the PalaBenvenuti (the old Botteghelle). Martino doesn’t hide his disappointment: “We received the news of the unavailability of the arena as a cold shower. We all know how much this theater is our home, our strength. Unfortunately, we can’t count on this arena for perhaps the most important game in our history, Game 1 of a final to qualify for Serie A2. I think what we’ve had to endure speaks for itself.”
