The end-of-season workshop, sponsored by Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza and dedicated to the red and white team’s corporate sponsors, was held at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Piacenza. The workshop, titled “Stories of Success and Failure”: Mistakes as a Lever for Personal and Entrepreneurial Growth, was dedicated to the team’s sponsors.
This high-profile opportunity for discussion intertwined sport, business, journalism, and the human dimension, offering participants concrete insights on leadership, responsibility, resilience, and the ability to transform mistakes into opportunities for growth.
Elisabetta Curti, President of the Board of Directors of Gas Sales Srl and Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza, opened the event. She emphasized “the value of the relationship between Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza, the local community, and the business system, highlighting how sport can be a training ground for transferable skills, even in the corporate context,” and discussed how we can “learn from the various mistakes each of us can make.”
The workshop featured presentations by journalist Ferruccio de Bortoli, who reflected on the relationship between failure, responsibility, and growth. He then moderated a roundtable discussion with Dante Boninfante, head coach of Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza; Monsignor Adriano Cevolotto, Bishop of Piacenza-Bobbio; Vincenzo Cerciello, Vice President of Nordmeccanica Group, board member of Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza, and new president of Confapi Piacenza; and Matteo Ferrari, President of Ara Group Holding and future President of the Parma Industrial Union. These four speakers engaged in an authentic and direct dialogue on the meaning of error, experienced not as failure but as a fundamental step in personal, professional, and entrepreneurial growth. Through diverse yet complementary experiences, the speakers offered impactful personal and professional testimonies, capable of stimulating new perspectives and awareness. Katia Tarasconi, Mayor of Piacenza, and Angelo Manfredini, Director of the Catholic University of Piacenza and Cremona, also attended the event and offered greetings.
