Vero Volley Monza’s final championship match comes to Civitanova. Before finally diving into the Scudetto playoffs, the boys led by coach Massimo Eccheli will face a midweek away match against Cucine Lube. The match will be played tomorrow evening, kick-off set for 8:30 PM, with live coverage on VBTV.

This match won’t impact the standings, but it offers plenty of opportunities ahead of the most important stage of the season. Monza will look to repeat their excellent performance in the first leg, when they secured a 3-1 victory at the Opiquad Arena. A positive result for Vero Volley would mean continuing their run of form after three consecutive wins. Their thirteen points in the last five games confirm the excellent form of Beretta and his teammates.

Former players: Eric Loeppky and Santiago Orduna, currently at Cucine Lube, formerly played for Vero Volley. Among the Brianza players, middle blocker Jacopo Larizza grew up in the youth academy of the Marche club.

PRE-MATCH STATEMENT
Jan Zimmermann, setter for Vero Volley Monza: “We want to prepare well for the playoffs, and this match can help us do just that. Against Civitanova, in a match that’s sure to be very tough, we’ll try to further improve our game. We’re coming onto the court with a clear head, we feel less pressure, and that helps us. Civitanova will definitely want to bounce back after losing the first leg against us; they’ll push hard to make things difficult for us. It’ll be a battle, and we hope to emerge victorious.”
