Pineto Volley is pleased to announce the agreement reached with Mirco Compagnoni for the 2026/27 Serie A2 Credem Banca season. Following Riccardo Copelli and Nicola Candeli, this is the third arrival in the blue and white middle blockers department.

Born in Brescia, 23 years old and 203 cm tall, Mirco Compagnoni comes from Serie A3 experience with the Umbrian team ErmGroup Altotevere San Giustino. He enjoyed a key year in the third division, reaching the playoff semifinals and scoring 203 points in 103 sets (including 137 attacking points, 59 blocking points, and seven aces). This will not be his first experience in Serie A2, given his previous stints with Cuneo—with whom he won the Super Cup and the Promotion Playoffs in the 2024/25 championship—and Santa Croce (2022/23). His career also included winning a Junior League title in 2022 with Brugherio (Monza) and, that same year, winning the U22 European Championship with the Azzurri.

“I’m truly delighted to begin this new experience in Pineto,” says Compagnoni, “and I can’t wait to get to work. I believe we’re building a very strong and competitive team, and I’m thrilled to be working with a top-notch staff led by an excellent coach like Cezar Douglas. I think I’ll be able to grow significantly during the season thanks to my experience and the quality of my daily work with the team. I’m also particularly pleased to have Angelo Marolla as my new athletic trainer, whose professional and human qualities I know very well. When I came to Pineto to play against Cuneo, I found a very warm and passionate crowd, one of those arenas capable of instilling energy and giving you an extra boost in crucial moments.
