This afternoon, at the PalaPanini, Modena Volley spiker Vlad Davyskiba spoke about Sunday’s defeat to Monza and the next match scheduled for Saturday (9 p.m.) at home against Piacenza: “The match against Monza wasn’t the worst of the season. We played on equal terms and lost two sets by just a few points. It was a close match, and in the future we’ll definitely need to improve on everything that didn’t work. That’s volleyball: whoever plays better wins, and if you play poorly, you lose. We’re looking ahead and thinking about Piacenza, an opponent we need to face in the best possible way. From a personal standpoint, I’m doing well in some areas and less so in others. I think I’m growing, and the important thing is to continue working hard every day in practice. The goal is to finish fourth and then capitalize on the home advantage in the playoffs. We’re ready to fight. The future? Modena will always be in my heart, but we’ll talk about it at the end of the season.”
