Delta Volley Porto Viro is once again recruiting from Rinascita Lagonegro to strengthen its first-team roster. Following Cantagalli and Sperotto, middle blocker Andrea Pegoraro, born in 2003 and 198 centimeters tall, has moved from Basilicata to Veneto, signing a two-year contract with the Polesine club.
Born in Scorzè, in the province of Venice, Pegoraro began playing for the local volleyball club while still in elementary school. Within a few years, he moved to Silvolley Trebaseleghe, then joined the thriving youth team of Volley Treviso, completing the youth ranks from the Under 13 to the Under 19 level, playing in two Serie B championships between 2020 and 2022.
His excellent performances in the Orogranata jersey earned him a call-up to Prata di Pordenone in Serie A2 Credem Banca. He spent the 2022-2024 two-year period in Friuli, then moved down a division with Lagonegro, contributing to their promotion to Serie A2 with 192 points in 28 appearances and 102 sets played.
He continued his career in the second division with the Lucanian team: despite starting as the third center in the team’s hierarchy, he managed to score 64 points in 23 games played between the Regular Season, Coppa Italia, and Playoffs, bringing his overall Serie A tally to 262 points in 97 matches.
