Thomas Ramberti will be assisting coach Simone Serafini and also overseeing the athletic training of Negrini CTE Acqui Terme.
Until a few weeks ago, a setter in Crema’s Serie D, but with extensive experience in Serie B with various clubs, including in Serie A2 with Lagonegro in 2019-20, Thomas, born in 1993, has chosen to hang up his shoes to begin a new and exciting professional adventure. He will take on the crucial dual role of assistant coach and athletic trainer for the Acqui Terme club, offering his expertise and on-court experience to the team.
Ramberti approaches the Acqui Terme environment with great enthusiasm, motivated by a profound decision that marks a true turning point in his sporting career:
“This is my first experience as an assistant coach in a first team, given that until now I had always managed the youth sector. The offer from Acqui Terme came at the same time as my decision to end my playing career: I would never have been able to pursue both. Having also played in Serie A2, considering my physical build and the fact that I’m not particularly tall, I believe I’ve achieved a remarkable milestone on the court. I also took over a restaurant that’s only open in the summer, allowing me to do both while dedicating myself 100% to volleyball in the winter.”
