Viridex Sabaudia is preparing for the week leading up to the return match. The 0-3 defeat against ErmGroup Altotevere San Giustino in the first leg of the Serie A3 playoffs round of 16 has complicated the Pontine side’s path in the Serie A3 championship playoffs.
“We can analyze a lot, but the most disappointing aspect is our approach to the match: we weren’t able to implement the right countermeasures against a team that played their game and caused us problems,” explains coach Stefano Beltrame. “We never managed to find the right attitude to face a well-equipped opponent like San Giustino, and the biggest disappointment is related to the performance itself, especially in terms of character. Some tried to keep the team strong, but it wasn’t enough because volleyball is a team sport, and when something doesn’t work, it becomes difficult to perform at your best. We could have done something more in this regard.”
