“Sport gives something you can’t buy: eternity!”

And Perugia accomplished this feat. SIR, in its dual role as a protagonist in the Italian championship under the Sir Susa Scai Perugia banner and on the European and world stage under the Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia banner, wrote another page in history, continuing to surpass itself. It did it once again, granting a dream, a dream that was celebrated alongside all those who made it possible!

A “forest of Cups” was the backdrop for a festive evening where President Gino Sirci’s club celebrated another season that will go down in the annals of world volleyball!

“Tonight we must attest to one thing: that these guys have achieved something great, something immense! Winning the Club World Championship, Super Cup, Scudetto, and a second consecutive Champions League in the same season is a historic feat!”

With these words, the Juventus patron welcomed his guests, the great SIR family who, together, made it possible to achieve such overwhelming, widespread success, evidenced by four trophies won in a single season! These are milestones that have Perugia talked about around the world, results achieved with commitment and dedication throughout the Juventus club’s journey, a journey that has been a constant and unstoppable ascent, as Sporting Director Goran Vujevic emphasized:

“It’s by no means a given that we could play with the superiority and supremacy we’ve demonstrated on the pitch. We’re proud to have achieved goals that we only saw from afar a few years ago.”

General Manager Bino Rizzuto attributes the added value that made this dream season possible to the strength of the group: “I believe this group’s celebrations aren’t just about the victories; it’s a group that has been united and compact through the joys, but also through the difficulties.”

Davide Candellaro, in his first year as team manager after ending his playing career last year, right here in Perugia, captured the evening perfectly by dwelling on the emotional intensity that characterized it: “I’ve never seen tears at an end-of-year dinner.”
