Being in the SuperLega isn’t simply about competing against the best league in the world, but rather being attentive and proactive in addressing the needs and situations that directly and indirectly affect your club. Indeed, at the end of its first season in Italy’s top division, Cuneo Volley organized a month of training sessions with its own players and other Serie A athletes from across Italy, all with club clearance, based on a targeted technical protocol.
“We’ve returned somewhat to good old habits,” emphasized Sports Director Paolo Brugiafreddo when presenting the work underway this May, “that is, once the official season is over, we continue with a protocol of targeted technical training. Especially in the SuperLega, where the season finale is always anticipated, having athletes sidelined from April to August is a paradox that we felt was right and proper to find a solution to. Therefore, we decided to give the players who will be part of our roster next season the opportunity to continue training. Considering the national call-ups, the minimum number for the part played would not have been reached, so we extended this possibility to players from other clubs who were willing and willing to continue training for another month. Naturally, all athletes were authorized by their clubs to take part in these training sessions.
