“I’m the kind of player who has way too much energy on the court. I scream, I get fired up, let’s just say my presence is felt! Off the court, I’m much calmer, but on the court, I want to play hard and enjoy every moment possible with my teammates.”
With this welcome, we officially announce the arrival of Amir Mohammad Golzadeh in Padua!
Born in Karaj, Iran, on May 9, 2003, opposite hitter Amir joins the Bianconeri team with a wealth of experience for a 23-year-old. Raised in Saipa Tehran, he arrived in Europe in 2024 with ACH Volley Ljubljana, where he played on the big stages of the Champions League and the CEV Cup for the first time. His national team career has been even more impressive: bronze at the 2021 Under-19 World Championship, gold at the Under-20 Asian Championship, and, in 2023, the Under-21 World Championship title with the MVP award, defeating Italy in the final with a tense 3-2 victory. His first season in the Superleague with Grottazzolina cemented his reputation: with 257 total points and a 4.02 point average per set, he was a key presence in last season’s campaign.
