A negative phase needs to be interrupted. Most of all a concerning 10th place in the standings needs to be changed.
The three defeats against Catania, Forli and Verona have not influenced the group’s morale but they certainly have put some shadows on the team’s teal strength, often able to do great things and enormous silly mistakes on the same day.
On sunday against Cagliari it will be a direct challenge and on wednesday the 26th Lupi S. Croce are coming, currently one point behind; finally on sunday the 30th it is Crema’s turn for the last round of the first leg (TV deferement at 20.30).
Three very important matches in eight days: if the hottest one will be the one at home against S. Croce with Valdo on the other side of the net and teh revenge for last year’s play offs semifinal, the most delicate with regards to the standings will be the one in Sardinia.

Dennis Zangaro, SD, has no doubts about it:
“Cagliari is a key match for us. All of the matches are and will be important from now on, but this one is especially for both of us.
I just have one recommendation for the team, which is an aspect that has been missing recently: everyone has to give their attention on court to all the phases of the game at any time, because recently I have seen too many distractions on simple things that costed us the set or the match.
Each player must be self demanding first of all: he has to ask teh best from himself before anybody else. We are not asking them to be perfect on averything but on what they can be perfect, because they all have the technical abilities to do perfectly the things you cannot get wrong…. and I am talking about the simple things, like the assisting, covering who is blocking, the movements with or without the ball.
That has to happen from sunday to the end of the championship: the last few matches have proven that you pay for certain mistakes and a lot of teh points we should have had are due to these deficiences.
That is the only way the potential continuity will come out of a team that has only been able to show what they can do on and off”.
