Enthusiasm from their own supporters was needed to see the Roma Volley of the past season. Perugia took a step back after winning aginst Piacenza. RPA-LuigiBacchi.it goen on court with the usual line-up while Roma does not have Marshall.
Substantial balance in the first set up to the first T Time Out (8-7), Roma starts well then the opponents, thanks to Stokr, catch them up.
It carries on but Perugia makes a lot of mistakes and seem very confused so it ends 25-20.
The second set is pretty much the same as the previous one. Perugia suggers with its serves and attacks and Roma’s blocking makes the difference ending it 25-19.
Still many mistakes at the beginning of the third set with Perugia’s difficulty to attack successfully and Roma’s difficultuùy to receive. It is head to head but Nikola Kovacevic (18 overall points) replaces Kromm and the set is won 23-25.
The fourth set is amazing, knives between their teeth, the teams fight with everything they have. Marco Molteni (Mvp) and Cristian Savani find last season imagination. Respectively 47% and 57% in attack lead Roma to their victory (final set 25-21).

Marco Molteni (spiker M. Roma Volley): «After the first 2 sets we express our game well but they grew and we could not repeat what we did. It is not easy to play a team that never gives up. At the end of the first set we saw the same situation we lived in Padova but we reacted fantastically».
Francesco Dall’Olio (coach RPA LuigiBacchi.it Perugia): «I do not understand the way we started the match. It was even too easy for Roma really. We made mistakes serving and attacking then we relaxed a bit when we were already losing. Stokr was stopped really well then his serving faded away».
