Macerata had a convincing performance in Spain, where it faces Palma de Maiorca. In the first two sets, the hosts managed to play face to face even though it sometimes let the guests show their skills. However, the rhythm seemed to be too high to be handled properly by the Spaniards. The superiority of the Italians was more obvious is a third set sealed in no time on a 25-10 score that doesn’t need commentary.  Thanks to this win, Macerata goes through to the next stage.

Tomorrow, all the other Italian teams will be in action. In the Champions League, Piacenza will meet the Russians from Kazan, while at 8.30pm Trentino will face the Austrian team of Vienna. Meanwhile, in the 8th of final return game of the Cev Cup, Cuneo will travel to Serbia to face Kragujevac with a 3-0 advantage gained in the first leg. Finally, in Jesolo, Treviso will host Mlekpol Omsztyn of Poland in the return game of the Challenge Cup 16th of Final.
