There is only very little missing now. Thanks to Wednesday’s victory over Gioia del Colle, coach Ricci’s boys are just one win away from winning the playoffs and going up in the A1. It finished 3-0 for the hosts, who proved they were at the best of their form. Giombini and Rosalba made their usual show but it’s Croatian Toni Kovacevic that made the difference with a series of outstanding plays on the serve. Game 2 is scheduled on Saturday. It will surely not be easy to win there, but this Latina team seems to be able to do just about anything. The dream of the A1 is now very near.
