Bassano and Santa Croce chasing Latina
Bassano Volley and Codyeco Santa Croce are chasing Latina, who found it really hard at Castellana Grotte but still managed to snatch the game at the tie-break, as Leondino Giombini shined once again like he did in the A2 cup with 33 points. This exscellent performance was matched but Bologna’s Gromadowski, back to his best and helping his team grab a point against Castelfidardo.
The main followers of the league leader, Santa Croce and Bassano, obtained some important point to stay close to the top spot, which will give a direct pass to the A1.
Santa Croce bounced back from their Cup desilusion and swept Loreto, while Bassano beat Catania at the tie-break. Matheus did well for the Sicilian in his retunr in the Italian league.
Roma had to surrender once more against Gioia del Colle. Apart from the first set, the southerners from Gioia imposed their rhythm. Finally, Isernia came back from Cavriago with a 3-1 win on Sunday night.
