Loreto moves up to fourth

With known of the top three teams in action, Loreto made the headlines by beating Castellana Grotte and conseauently moving up to fourth place.  This victory came at the tie-break just like for two other teams: Città del Castello crucially beat Castelfidardo in a big contest in the race to stay up as both teams are now tied, while Gioia del Colle had the better of Isernia away from home.

It was easy for Cavriago in the derby in Bologna, who never got in the game. Crema did not seem very focused and were severely defeated by Catania, who tallies now 20 points in the league.

Mantova obtained its six consecutive win away from home  at the expense of Rome. The sets were tight but Gian Andrea Marchesi dealt better with the clutch moments. Oro and Zaytsev were not in their best form for Rome.
