Isernia resumed its off-season with the signing of Cuban middleblocker Hiosvany Salgado, who helped Loreto be promoted last season.
The 29-year-old arrived in Italy in 2001-02 and has now signed for Isernia hoping to improve on the excellent season he had last year. “The aim is to do better than the previous seasons, because I think I haven’t played at my best yet – said Salgado – I had a look at the squad and I think we have what it takes to enjoy ourselves”.
