Serie A1 TIM

V-Day:  celebration of sport, fans and Tv

“We’ve had the patience to wait for our moment to come” had said Grbic at the end of the league final victory. Not only the team, but also the staff, managers, and the entire city had been waiting for this moment since the last final in 1998, lost in three games against Treviso. That year, there was Grbic and Mastrangelo but then both players went their own ways before making their comeback at the club this summer. Grbic had already won the title in 2008 with Trento while it’s the first for Mastrangelo.

That final was meant to make history: it’s a first for Cuneo and If Trento had won it, it would have been a historical Grand Slam of four trophies in four. The title would have added to the World Club Championship, the Italian Cup and the Champions League.
