At the beginning of the eighties, with Ravenna still in the elite, the club was going to be sold as the current owners could not deal with the costs. Merano Melandri was part of the group that took over. It found the sponsor that kept the club alive. On court, the attitude of the boys, who used to live it absolutely all on the floor, remains a great example in sport. That’s how the weight room of the new gym will bear the name of a great man of sport and one part of Ravenna’s history: Merano Melandri.
