Easter joy for Trentino which came out straight set winner in the semi-final Game 1 against Modena. Trentino has won 8 in a row at home over Modena, which has not won there since March 2007. MVP Stokr.
Jan Stokr (Itas Diatec Trentino): “We had prepared the game extremely carefully in its every detail and things went as we expected. We are obviously very happy because our focus on defence was perfect. Modena did not have a good game but we can’t expect them to play like that all the time. Game 2 will surely be very difficult but if we play with the same determination, we can win in their PalaPanini arena too”.
Wytze Kooistra (Casa Modena): “It’s tough to play against a team that serves this well. We tried our best but we quickly lost our way. In order to win Game 2 and get back in the series, we’ll have to play exactly as Trento did tonight: hitting the serve hard and extremely effective on defence”.
