On Monday night, Macerata gathered a prestigious win in Trento in the last game of the fourth round. The three-times world champions were welcomed by 3500 fans following their World championship victory but Giuliani’s boys ruined the party at the tie-break. Savani is back to his best as he scored 19 points with 56% while the MVP is Podrascanin.
Matey Kaziyski (Itas Diatec Trentino): “Tough game but we hanged in there till the end. Macerata showed all its talent, which is why it was positive to resist until the last set”.

Let’s not forget that Trento was tired after the World Championships. We still have a lot of work to do to get to their level. But victories like this help us to gain confidence”.
