Isernia added an important piece of its future roster with the signing of yet another Scandinavian: Finnish setter Simo-Pekka Olli. The 26-year-old (203cm tall) started off as a spiker but thanks to the coach of the youth national team he found his vocation. In 2005 he won the cup with Raision Loimu in his country before landing in Italy as back up of fellow country man Mikko Esko at Padova. At 21, he signed for Bergamo in the lower division before going back to Padova. Then, he went back to his home country and Raision Loimu.
