In two years, Simone Tiberti has become Mr Padova Volley. The setter has quickly become a fan favourite and deservedly earned the captain armband.
“As soon as I arrived, I said I wanted to go up in the A1 with this shirt – said Tiberti – We managed to do it in just two years, which is a very gratifying achievement. We’re aiming to stay up. Given that the new regulations will send two teams directly down and the rest in the playoffs, we are forced to say that we’re aiming for the playoffs (laugh)”.
