Ravenna won the playoffs final for fifth place and earned a place in the Challenge Cup 2014-15. They started off strong by taking the first two sets but the hosts fought back to push it to the tie-break. In the end, however, Bonitta’s boys came out on stop incredibly coming back from 14-10 down to win it 16-14.

Stefano Mengozzi (CMC Ravenna): “We are thrilled, we really wanted to get this result. We proved we wanted it from the start. Shame we faded in the third and fourth set. We lost it then won it again. At 14-10 down in the tie-break, it looked doomed but somehow we won it”.

Manuel Coscione (Bre Lannutti Cuneo): “We thought we were going to lose 3-1, then we showed great character and earned a tie-break. But they played a good game”.
