First crucial win for Treia in the Champions League. Giuliani’s men came back from Paris with a 3-0 victory and move up to second place in Pool E above Fenerbahce, while the French remain stuck with 0 points. Only the first set was tight, then Podrascanin and co found it easier. They proved the better side in every area of the game. They tallied 9 blocks, four of them from Stankovic, while they could count on a superb Kurek, who had 92% in attack. The top scorer, however, was Giulio Sabbi with 15 points.

Marko Podrascanin (Cucine Lube Treia): “Three very important points, a crucial 3-0 win, the fact we haven’t lost any set could turn out to be key for the qualification. We did not have a great start, we made too many mistakes in the first set, especially on the serve, but we fought through that with patience and determination to get all three points. Once we won the first set, we played at our usual level until the end. The next two games against Belgorod will be more difficult. We really want to win against the European Champions too. Congratulations to the Paris fans, we played again in a packed arena”.
