Aurispa Alessano announced two new signings before the deadline in Bentivoglio’s volley market. The club brought in Michele Grassano and Giuseppe Muccio. Born in 1986 in San Severo, spiker-receiver Grassano has a lot of experience in the A1 and A2. He boasts excellent percentages in attack as well as in reception. He won a league title and a super cup with Piacenza, as well as the gold medal in the Meditteranean games with Italy, all in 2009. Last season he played for Emma Villas Chiusi, team promoted in the B1 division.

As for middle blocker Muccio, he is a local boy from Patù. Born in Gagliano del Capo on March 18, 1985, 202cm tall, his career began in 1999 in the Serie C. But he quickly made the grade to the B1 and A2 divisions. He is physically powerful and a reliable threat at the net.

Meanwhile, the season calendar were unveiled and Alessano will kick off its season in the Serie A2 at home against Sora on October 19.
