In its last test of the pre-season, Padova had the better of Ljubljana 3-1 (25-20; 25-17; 25-20; 20-25). Baldovin’s men had swept the Slovenians but the two teams decided to play an extra set won by the guests. Argentine Quiroga was surprisingly used as he arrived in Italy only yesterday. And did he do it well! He scored 17 points, finished top scorer with 50% in attack, and 6 aces. Good performance too from Volpato, with 100% in attack and 7 points.
