Latina is thrilled to announce the renewal of Sasa Starovic, which meant a substantial effort for the club. Latina will therefore have the same pair of setter-outside hitter as last season and three years ago when the Serbian lefty finished top scorer with 492 points in front of Lasko and Fei. Before landing in Italy he had played in Russia with Ural Ufa, while he also wore the colours of San Giustino between two spells at Latina. He collected seven medals with his national team, among which the gold at the European Championships 2011.
“I am happy to stay at Latina – said Starovic – At the end of last season we had agreed with the managerial staff to keep working together and we made it official today. We have to redeem ourselves from last season and send Latina towards the top of the league”.
