In its first outing of the season, Reggio Emilia was defeated 3-1 by a Brescia team led by former Italian international Alberto Cisolla. But Cantagalli had to make do without star players like Kody and Douglas Powell.

“We missed a few players which meant some had to play in different positions than usual – explained coach Luca Cantagalli – As far as the effort and competiveness is concern, I am satisfied. But we really struggled in reception, which prevented us from playing our game. I expected a result like this, I knew where we were at at this stage of the preparation”.
